Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Internal Medicine Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires a strong foundation in internal medicine, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to diagnose medical conditions.
• Diagnose, treat, and help prevent children's diseases and injuries.
• Diagnose, treat, and help prevent disorders of the mind, allergic diseases, skin diseases, injury, or disability.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Manage acute and chronic illnesses, providing ongoing care and monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medical protocols.
• Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record systems.
• Educate patients and their families about health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
• Provide pain management solutions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Stay current with advancements in internal medicine practices, medical terminology, and clinical guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Previous experience in a hospital setting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability in evidence-based practice is beneficial.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and communication.
• Active or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians of BC(CPSBC) License.
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory.
