About Us:
Studio Hon is a licensed local tattoo studio based in Saskatoon. Rooted in the city’s culture of authenticity and creativity, we are widely recognized for thoughtful client consultations and high-quality tattoo craftsmanship. We specialise in fine line, realism, blackwork and fully custom tattoo designs. Every client receives a detailed pre-appointment consultation covering placement, design, budget and long-term care. We follow strict provincial health and sanitation standards to deliver transparent, reassuring tattoo services for local residents.
Job duties:
• Coordinate, assign and review the daily work of tattoo artists, front desk and retail support staff; establish weekly shift schedules to ensure adequate coverage across studio operating hours
• Assign and monitor day-to-day tasks related to client check-in, appointment flow and retail counter service, coordinating with the studio owner/manager on staffing needs and scheduling changes
• Resolve day-to-day work-related problems raised by staff or clients, and escalate more complex service or policy issues to the studio owner/manager
• Hire and train front-of-house and support staff on job duties, studio safety procedures, sanitation protocols and company policies; onboard new staff to point-of-sale and appointment booking systems
• Requisition and track inventory of tattoo supplies, disposable hygiene materials and retail skincare products; place routine reorders and flag low-stock items to management
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of studio equipment, booking software and POS systems, arranging basic maintenance or escalating repair needs as required
• Monitor daily compliance with Saskatchewan health and sanitation regulations for body art and personal service facilities, and maintain related daily checklists and inspection records
• Respond to routine client inquiries and service complaints at the front desk, referring unresolved matters to the studio owner/manager
• May perform the same front-desk, scheduling and client-service duties as the staff supervised
Qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of college courses or a certificate related to beauty, personal service management, or hospitality operations is an asset.
• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience working in the related personal/customer service business is required.
• Working knowledge of tattoo application techniques, general knowledge of tattoo practices, or related experience in art.
• Prior experience with shift scheduling, inventory tracking, and handling day-to-day customer service issues and concerns in a personal service or retail setting is required; prior supervisory or team lead experience is an asset.
• Working knowledge of Canada public health and sanitation regulations for body art and personal service facilities, with the ability to carry out daily compliance checks.
• Proficiency with booking software, POS systems, and basic spreadsheet use for scheduling and inventory tracking.
• Strong English communication skills for client service, staff coordination, and day-to-day team training.
Ability to work flexible shifts covering the studio's opening hours (including weekends) and handle high-traffic operational periods.
