Hairstylist

Salon Era is a premier hair salon, committed to providing the latest in hair care. We pride ourselves on our team of skilled stylists who offer a range of services, from stylish haircuts to unique color treatments, using top-notch products and the latest techniques. We're currently looking for a full-time Hairstylist to join our team in a relaxing and professional atmosphere.

Main Duties:

Consult with clients to recommend hairstyles that enhance their physical features, or style hair based on their specific instructions and preferences.
Assess the condition of the client's hair and scalp, offer basic treatments, and provide professional advice on appropriate beauty care treatments.
Perform a range of hair services including cutting, trimming, tapering, curling, waving, perming, and styling.
Use bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to create a variety of hair color effects, such as coloring, frosting or highlighting.
Maintain, clean and style wigs and hair pieces as required.
Skillfully apply hair extensions as per client's preferences.
When needed, shampoo and rinse clients' hair.
Possibly be involved in the training or supervision of other hairstylists, hairstylist apprentices, and helpers.

2 yeaers of related work experience

Completion of secondary school or higher

Completion of apprenticeship or college program in hairstyling with on the job training OR minimum of 2 years of hairstylist work experience if no formal hairstyling training or education

Ability to communicate in English
