Job Duties:
• Reading and understanding blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine the exact specifications and dimensions for fireplace installations, ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Fitting and installing various trim items and fixtures related to the fireplace, such as mantels, surrounds, doors, and hardware.
• Performing repairs on existing fireplace framework or surrounds that are damaged or structurally unsound.
• May prepare cost estimates for clients.
• Keeping accurate records of completed installations and maintaining proper documentation
• Load and unload materials from a vehicles to establishments
• Reporting to the office after job completion.
